2011 Brings...

Well 2011 started off with a bang when we bought a home on 5 acres and decided to move our family to the country. The kids were able to stay in their same elem. school in Melrose which was pretty much a must for us. The kids love it of course. I was pretty worried that Liberti wouldnt like it as much as she thought, but she's very content here. I go to work at 6:45 so Ah-Ma takes them to school if Greg has to be out of town working, otherwise he gets them there. I get out of work just in time to pick them up from school and get weekends off. So no compromise as far as time spent with them. I'm happy to anounce that Liberti received her first honor roll! We are so proud of her and she was proud too. She is still an ESOL student and is repeating the 3rd grade just so that she will make an even better 4th grader next year without as much struggle. We are so lucky to be the parents of such amazing children! We are blessed indeed. Liberti and Landon both bought baby chicks on Sat. They are so into that kind of stuff now. They have a hand in keeping them feed, their lighting until their bigger and so forth which is so sweet to see them be kind, gentle and loving to things that still carry the weight of responsability. There's Ginnies, silkies, chicks, rabbits, and a puppy! We are all learning to live this life every day. I always want to update the blogs but so little time with everything. I'll do my best...

Oh,P.S. Our family is stronger than ever. Liberti is progressing in her attachment to all of us very well. She shows lots of affection now. Her relationship with Landon is love/hate for lack of better words. They have a pretty healthy and normal relationship now. They are closer than ever even though she'll tell you little brothers are a pest Lol There is still hands on aggression at times but she has worked hard to control her reactions to things and people. We all grow as she grows. We all have learned how to do things differently in our family so that we are a strong family unit with a happy and healthy attachment of love for one another. Its amazing and was all in Gods hands the entire time. Just thought I would add that update

2010 slowing to an end...

Just adding some photos for the lack of time these days. As you all know life with kids is time consuming. Liberti is 9 and Landon is 6 and both in full swing. Liberti continues to do better and better. She is still in therepy whichwill continue for some time to come. We are the luckiest parents in the world. Greg and I are so proud of both of them.

School starts, more medical referrals, and tired but happy kids

Liberti age 8 DOB 6/01 with brother
Landon age 5 DOB 8/04

It's been tiring. Its been frustrating. Its been plane out exhausting most of the time but man have we come a very long way. Dr appointment after appointment and referral after referral we get closer to diagnosing and further treatment with Liberti. In the next few weeks I will begin to document the issues (for example: sensory integration disfunction, auditory processing disorder, PTSD, ODD, and possible mixed receptive-expressive language disorder or communication disorder) that we have been dealing with the past 2 years and what those evaluations, diagnoses and treatments are. If you have a bio or adopted child with any type of disabilities you can understand the work that goes into getting your child the best help you can so that they can become the most they can and get the most out of life reaching their fullest potential. Those that haven't experienced first hand, hopefully can empathize with us at least and learn a little too.

What lucky parents we are to have such beautiful children from Taiwan. Enjoy the pics and stay tuned for the upcoming updates.

Up's, downs and all arounds in the past months and the continue but we have all come a long way. I am just going to add some photos because that is all anyone REALLY needs to see and know :) Liberti turned 7 June 4th and Landon turns 4 August 13th. Where does the time go??? Hmnn.
